We’re excited to announce some new changes at the BFC!

The Brooklyn Food Coalition (BFC) has been a vital force in the food justice movement since its founding five years ago. Now we are entering an exciting new stage, with a revamped organization that will provide even stronger support for community groups working to resolve food issues on the ground.

BFC Transition

Over the past few months, the BFC has engaged in a Strategic Planning Process to see how we can be of better service to the needs of today’s Food Justice movement. As a result of our process, we're making changes to re-build the coalition towards a new structure and vision. The BFC is now a coalition that unites and expands the capacity of organizations, community-based groups and allies challenging inequity and racism in our food system.

There will be more about the BFC’s history and the Strategic Plan details posted to our website soon.

Want to get involved? Learn more about volunteer opportunities with the BFC and complete a volunteer application to let us know how you would like to get involved. We’ll do our best to get back to everyone, but we will prioritize reaching out to those who have the skills, interest and fit for our present needs (to invite for a 1/1 conversation and orientation). Otherwise, hang tight, we’re still growing and will keep your application on file.
